Malankara Jacobite Syrian Sunday School Association (MJSSA) is the apex body for catechism in the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Church. It was founded on December 27, 1920 under the spiritual leadership of the Late Lamented Mar.Athanasios Paulose (Valiya Thirumeni) at a meeting held at Piravom Seminary in the name of Malankara Syrian Sunday School association(MSSA).In 1964 when peace was established in the Jacobite Syrian Church,MSSA joined the sunday school association of catholicose faction and continued functioning in the name of OSSAE.But the catholicose ordained by H.H.The Patriarch contrary to the true faith Canons of the church resulted in the split in the Sunday School Association also.In 1973 a meeting held at kottayam on October 2nd 1974.Mjssa Angamaly Diocese Affiliated to this and working together. |

The basic units of MJSSA are the schools headed by the Headmaster. Schools in close proximity are grouped into a District; the Inspector is in charge of the district. In every diocese there are many districts. Angamaly Diocese is divided into three zones. They are Angamaly East,Angamaly West and Angamaly Central. |
